Q: Should I buy a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback or a 1973 Ford Gran Torino Sport?
The Galaxie has a 302 with 50,000 miles on it but has a better interior and exterior, however, the Gran Torino has a completely rebuilt 351 Cleveland bored over .30 but has a worse exterior and interior…I AM SO CONFUSED!!!!!
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com
Q: Did the Movie “Gran Torino” raise the price for this car?
I’ve got a 1972 Ford Gran Torino. All black. Black interior with pink trim. Neon lining the shifter, control panal, under the hood, in the trunk, and the whole bottom of the car. Strobe’s above the exhaust, and the steering wheel was also replaced with a neon one, and neon on the gas, and brake pedals. I had flame throwers installed a few years back, but was recently disconnected when it back fired. There’s more then 15,000$ just under the hood. It had more then 500hp when we even bought it. And after the movie Gran Torino came out, we were wondering if it’d be worth more now. We’ve been wanted to sell it, but before the movie came out we wanted around 30k for it. Do you think it’s worth the price? And do you think it’s worth more now?

Q: Should I buy?
I have a offer right now to buy a running 1972 Ford Gran Torino for $500 should I buy it?
A: I am jealous! granted it will cost money to keep it running and tons more if you restore it. But it is a classic and well worth 500 even if it has no engine in it.
Q: GRAN TORINO CLASSIC CAR?
hi i have plans on buying this gran torino…but ONLY if i can have the front end look like the GRAN TORINO SPORT. is it just botls and screws? or is it going to be major mechanic work?

BOTH ARE 72-73
A: all bolt on if you can find them. I had a ‘72 GTS, and even though it was a good looking car, all I remember is how bad it handled.
Q: Horsepower of a 351w out of a 1974 Ford gran tornio??
I”m buying a Fairlane with a 351w out of a 1974 gran torino? could you tell me the (aprox) horsepower and torque? Thanks
also anybody know the weight (about) of a 64 fairlane? thanks again
A: While 285bhp may be correct, a couple of things have occured with the engine by 1974. First, in 1972, the engines were rated by net horsepower instead of brake horsepower (bhp). The difference is where the horsepower measurement was taken. For brake horsepower, the measurement was taken at the torque converter. For net horsepower, it was after the transmission. So brake horsepwer was a measurement of engine horsepower alone, while net horsepower was more of a true measurement of how much got to the rear wheels. Secondly, by 1974, the compression ratio was lowered to meet exhaust standards set by the government, so that also decreased horsepower. So a 1974 351W had more like 180 or so net horsepower stock. And torque for the stock engine will be somewhere in the low 200s. This is not to say that the engine is a dud. Stock form, well kinda is. But the potential for the engine, given the right combo of cam, pistons, etc. and it would be a real hellcat. And as far as weight is concerned, since the ‘64 is still one of the smaller Fairlanes, with the 351W it should go in the 3000 pound range give or take. You have potential there. That kind of engine/body combo would be a killer car. GO FOR IT!
Q: How much should I ask for a 1974 Gran Torino 351w V8 & C4 With 45K Miles?
I’m lost and need a little help, I know nothing about the ford world.
I have a 1974 Gran Torino 351w & C4 In My Mazda Rx-7, it has 45,000 original miles because the car was wrecked from behind, how much is it worth? Runs great, doesn’t leak or burn a drop of oil.
Was asking $600 OBO and had multiple people interested, even had a guy say if he hadn’t bought one already he would of gave me $1000 to put in his car so I’m lost, any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
A: 500-600$ Seems fair.

which of these cars do you think would be best and why? feel free to add to the list.
A: definately hands down the chevelle. at their increasing rate of value in ten years if you still have it yu could easily sell it for double what you paid. oh and it would need a 454 even though it guzzles gas it would sound pimp. this is probably the car im gettin too
